چکیده

Introduction to a simple yet effective Two-Dimensional Fuzzy Smoothing Filter

Annihilation or reduction of each kind of noise blended in correct data signals is a field that has attracted many researchers. It is a fact that fuzzy theory presents full capability in this field. Fuzzy filters are often strong in smoothing corrupted signals, whereas they have simple structures. In this paper, a new powerful yet simple fuzzy procedure is introduced for sharpness reduction in ...

Acoustic correlated sources direction finding in the presence of unknown spatial correlation noise

In this paper, a new method is proposed for DOA estimation of correlated acoustic signals, in the presence of unknown spatial correlation noise. By generating a matrix from the signal subspace with the Hankel-SVD method, the correlated resource information is extracted from each eigen-vector. Then a joint-diagonalization  structure is constructed of the signal subspace and basis it, independent...

Applications of the fractal theory in image Fractal dimension has been used for texture analysis as it is highly correlated with the human perception of surface analysis also include image segmentation [2, 6–8], shape roughness. Several methods have been proposed for the estimadescription [9], object characterization [1...

Identification of an univariate function in a nonlinear dynamical model

This paper addresses the problem of estimating, from measurement data corrupted by highly correlated noise, the shape of an unknown scalar and univariate function hidden in a known phenomenological model of the system. The method makes use of the Vapnik’s support vector regression to find the structure of a parametrized black box model of the unknown function. Then the parameters of the black b...

A Novel Temporal-Frequency Domain Error Concealment Method for Motion Jpeg

Motion-JPEG is a common video format for compression of motion images with highquality using JPEG standard for each frame of the video. During transmission through a noisychannel some blocks of data are lost or corrupted, and the quality of decompression frames decreased. In this paper, for reconstruction of these blocks, several temporal-domain, spatial-domain, andfrequency-domain error conceal...

Local estimation of the noise level in MRI using structural adaptation

We present a method for local estimation of the signal-dependent noise level in magnetic resonance images. The procedure uses a multi-scale approach to adaptively infer on local neighborhoods with similar data distribution. It exploits a maximum-likelihood estimator for the local noise level. The validity of the method was evaluated on repeated diffusion data of a phantom and simulated data usi...
